In these applications, infrared heaters can replace conventional furnaces and contact, UV-curing, electric or gas heating systems. In the case of print drying, infrared may be more suitable than UV curing for some inks and substrates. Infrared heating is becoming more and more popular for use in warehouse heating as it can be directed directly to where personnel work, preventing energy from being wasted heating the air or building structures.
